Our waterer uses a special thermal water valve design that continuously circulates fresh water in the pan after the temperature drops below 33°F. Because there is moving water in the water pan, it stays open in temperatures as low as -40°F! The beauty of this design is it uses zero electricity, only water. Excess water overflow from the thermal valve goes into the installed drain tile, which typically remains below 50 gallons per day. Each unit has a rated capacity of 200 head.
